Jiang Manor employs Shui Wu Xia, a maid at Langya Pavilion, to help Master Jiang Bai Yu with his academic work and martial arts instruction. The haughty, jovial Jiang Bai Yu clashes with the bold, brave Wu Xia. Both have secrets: Bai Yu is looking into the unexplained murder of his father, while Wu Xia is searching for her long-lost older brother.

Wu Xia is able to observe Bai Yu’s true and resolute heart as fate puts them together frequently enough for Bai Yu to change his wanton ways. They will eventually discover that there is a connection between Bai Yu’s father’s murder and Wu Xia’s brother’s disappearance. By working together, they expose the plots of their shared enemy, preventing complete chaos and bringing peace back to the people of the Jiang Continent.
